RONALDO STILL UNSURE

The former Brazilian striker Ronaldo has said that he is not overly confident about the chances of his nation winning the sixth World Cup title when it competes for the competition in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Due to the fact that this major tournament will be held at Brazil, they are the overwhelming favourites to beat the other teams and win the sixth World Cup title. Brazil are the record holders for the most number of World Cup titles won, which currently stands at five. However, the former Real Madrid and AC Milan star has all but written off the chances of Brazil winning this competition.

He has said that people are extremely confident that they can win the title because the competition is held at home. However, they should acknowledge the fact that Brazil are currently in a crisis at the moment. They are currently in the worst ranking in the history of FIFA rankings. Further, the team are looking to evolve under the new manager with many young players like Neymar and Oscar. Players like Kaka and Ronaldinho are past the prime, and the dependence upon these young players will prove to be the major hindrance for the Brazilian national team according to Ronaldo.

“I’m sure we will be able to look back with pride and know that we organised the best World Cup of all time. The organisation, of course, has to be perfect. It will be perfect. We will guarantee it will be perfect. We have the worst FIFA ranking ever in history,’ he said. ‘It is a difficult moment for the national team. However, we will be playing at home. This will be added incentive, it will be motivation,” said Ronaldo. He has also said that he is confident that the nation will be ready to host the tournament.
