Wilshere wants to play for England

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere wants to play for the national team again.

He said that it is an immense honor to represent your national team and that he is determined to get back into the team. He admitted that his form has not been really good as he was hindered by injury but he wants things to change this season.

Jack Wilshere spent the last campaign on loan to Bournemouth, and despite making an encouraging start to the season, his form rapidly declined, and he found himself spending some time on the bench. To make matters worst he was again injured and had to spend some time away from the training ground.

It appears that the player will be back at Arsenal this season and that he will have to fight for his place in an already congested Arsenal midfield.

Jack Wilshere said that he is not afraid of competition and that he will do his best to get back into the side. He said that with the World Cup coming up next year, it is important that he gets back into the England team and he feels that this will be an added motivation for him to train harder. Republic of Ireland manager Martin O’Neill says that he is relieved to have avoided the big guns in the World Cup 2018 qualification group.

As it is, they will go into the qualification campaign with a real hope of reaching the finals. Ireland have not reached the finals of the World Cup since 2002. In fact, the team has managed to reach the finals only on three occasions in their entire history. Hence, they were relying upon a huge slice of luck in terms of the draw and this is what exactly Martin O’Neill has received. As a result of this draw, Ireland cannot only hope of qualifying for the finals but they can also hope for winning the group.
